Another rule has changed...it used to be that if you found yourself in the unfortunate situation of being charged or attacked by a bear, you were supposed to curl up into a ball, protect your neck with your hands, soil your underpants, and start the process of having your life flash before you.
Well, not anymore. This summer, we went camping on the coast with friends and I saw a sign that contradicted all that. It said to make yourself appear as large as possible. If the bear approaches you, you are supposed to hold your jacket open (thus appear larger than you really are) and "act immediately to scare it away: make as much noise as possible by yelling very loudly" (source) and plan to change your underwear. (I added that part.)
Here is Kaemon Ze practicing his anti-bear techniques:
I asked him what would he do if he saw a bunny or a ninja. He said he'd just walk by. Smart kid!
