Ground cherry pie.
All tucked into sugary-goodness.
Cooling, outside.

Look mama! A worm!
He's so cute, I had to edit a close-up. :)
Helping mama shuck the ground cherries.
I told him I make lots of things with ground cherries, including pie.
Ground cherry.
Enough to make a pie!
Tonight's harvest.
Getting ready to skin the yellow romas to make a garlic pizza sauce - yum!
Another odd-ball tom.
I harvested these big boys to make a lovely, delicate cream of carrot soup today.
Harvesting the majority of the remaining carrots to turn them into a carrot soup base for this winter.
I pulled these two intertwined carrots out - the most erotic carrots I've ever grown!
My whimsy guy harvesting the last of the Italian plums.
Gorgeous colours!
Pulled some potatoes to mash them for dinner. Yum!
Our kitchen window sill is such a snapshot of our lives: a tomatillo ripening; a button from JoyBoy's Roc Roc; a paper wasp nest; a broken bit of amethyst crystal; a few rocks from JoyBoy; a mud wasp nest, a tall amethyst crystal.
And now...the pears!
I harvested a pound of jalapenos and made jalapeno jam (so good!).
All set to skin tomatoes to make jalapeno salsa.
Such bounty!
Nekkid little toms.
I've seen some fun mutations this year, including two sets of conjoined toms...joined at the stem. I haven't seen that before.
And...tonight's off-the-vine harvest. :)

We ran into a little gal from our Spanish-immersion playgroup. The kids played for a while. Sweet!
Can you tell we are riding saw-horses, saddles and all?

Hi Bairbre. :)
Auntie Laura introduces Kaemon Ze to the sugary goodness of cotton candy.

In the end...he doesn't like it very much. AWESOME! LOL!
