Jason and I staked out an outline for our rain garden and surrounding paths. Eventually this spring we will rent a sod-cutter and remove all the grass in the front and build raised garden boxes. In this spot, pictured above and below, I'm planning to put a rain garden. Looks like a good choice for one, eh? The above shot is from when we woke up.
This is how it looked as we were leaving about 30-40 minutes later!
Our boy, all dressed to go to Gramma's for the day. :)
I had a thought that Kaemon Ze's curly hair is probably long enough to put into a pony-tail... so I tried it this morning while daddy was outside warming up his car for his morning commute to take Kaemon Ze to gramma's. It totally matched daddy's pony-tail! Daddy and his "mini-me!" Too funny. Gramma said he looked like a little hippy. haha
When Mr. Early Riser didn't fall asleep for his nap this morning, we went outside to take a look around and see what fun there was to be had. Kaemon Ze is borrowing the big blue ball from our neighbor. He's had it all over: in the side yard; on the deck; under the tree house; and in the garden (pictured). I was transplanting plants and bulbs; Kaemon Ze worked on transplanting balls. :)
