browsing on daddy day

Daddy said, "Of course KZ will want to take each of the figures. He really liked that the princess has a blaster."

Use the Force, Luke!

"Come to the Dark Side."

After he takes a mask off (any mask) he often says, "I'm just a man."

Browsing cards...Daddy said he liked this one so much he kissed it. :)

joyboy bits

Nov 30:
"Sometimes the hiccup and the throwup - they mix. Sometimes they don't; they come apart."

Dec 5:

*sneeze* "I'm a little bit allergic to fire." *sneeze* "It makes me sneeze."

what a fun sunday!

Celebrating Emma's 4th birthday at that kid's pizza place (you know the one).

Brother Noah sleeps on the table, safe with Grandma.

Next...another birthday!
Off to celebrate Grandpa's birthday!

Kaemon Ze singes "Happy Birthday" to Grandpa (who is also singing to himself).

Helping Grandpa blow out his candles.
Happy Birthday, Grandpa!

cooking up a storm with my whimsy guy

 Pralines...with bacon!

Macaroons but not with gin! Hahah. We use this old bottle to soak vanilla beans to make real vanilla. It smells so good!

My pretty macaroons. I trimmed the edges and dipped the bottoms into dark chocolate. Delicious!

Our first batch of lemoncello is ready and it turned out so good!
This was our short, 2-week batch; looking forward to tasting the 90-day batch, which will be ready after the new year.

Gorgeous garden veggies.

 Soon-to-be-roasted gorgeous garden veggies.

Homemade beef jerky. Yum!

he wants to marry me

JoyBoy tells me occasionally that he wants to marry me. Sometimes he gets in a huff when daddy explains that he is married to me and that he is our baby. "No! I want to marry mama!"

One afternoon in November, we were sitting on the couch when he told me again that he wants to marry me. We'd come from the library an hour or so before and had a pile of borrowed books on the table.

At the library, I found a book that looked intriguing called, "Mommy...I'm mad at you!" I found it in the pile and started to read it to Kaemon Ze.

Lo and behold...the reason the cute-as-can-be little rabbit boy was ultimately mad at his mom was because she said she won't marry him...not even when he gets older.

Kaemon Ze loved this book and asked me to read it again. Then, he reenacted the book, over and over. It was so cool!

When JoyBoy reenacted the book, he even had me put crackers out...just like the book. :)

(I said, "Do I sleep in late?" He said, "No...")
(It's true, I'm always up before he wakes up.)

(I said, "Does mama watch t.v.?" "He said, "No...")
(It's true, we don't watch television.)

(I said, "Does mama yell?" "He said, "No...")
(It's true; I'm adverse to yelling.)

(I said, "Do I tell you to hurry up?" "He said, "Sometimes...")
(It's true.)

(I said, "Who does the laundry?" "He said, "Daddy.")
(What can I say? I'm a lucky girl!)

The REAL reason he's so mad at mommy!

Kaemon Ze loved the part in his reenactment where I pulled him to me after he came back. :)

playing santa

Kaemon Ze said he was Santa and invited us to sit on his lap.
"Ho Ho Ho! I'm Santa! What do you want for Christmas?"

 My lil Santa. :)

He asked Daddy to be Santa so he could ask Santa for one thing. We've let him know he gets to ask Santa for "one special thing." Figured it was good to rope in the wish list. Heh.

spanish playgroup

Tonight, la maestra (the teacher) is teaching the kids
Spanish words for different types of deportes (sports).

Waiting to see what's in la maestra's toy box tonight!

Tonight it's basquetbol and a big hoop!

Looks like a lot of fun, doesn't it? :)
