looking for a suit

We're heading to a wedding at the end of the month and JoyBoy needs a suit.

He looked so sharp in this jacket (he wore it around the little shop for a while before he let me remove it), but it didn't have matching pants. It did have a shirt and tie and the whole thing just rocked. But...no pants.

Mama's got to keep looking.

good morning!

a full sunday

Lady K and The General brought Kaemon Ze a present. :)
She said she'd been holding on to it for 12 years...
knowing she'd eventually meet the right person to give this...
dinosaur lego set to.
Well...I'd say it was worth the wait;
Kaemon Ze is just the kid! He LOVES dinosaurs. :)

This is the first time JoyBoy said he did not want his photo taken.
Daddy and I tricked him a bit; I really wanted this shot of he and I. :)

Petting the goat at our local organic farm supply store.

Still petting the goat.

And petting some more...

Inside the store, we found young chickens and baby chickens. So cute!

Watching the young chickens.

Watch your fingers...the German butterballs can pack quite a bite.

Pretty chickens.
Kaemon Ze got to feed two ducks...he loved that!

rocking out on a (late) saturday night

Finn's daddy rocks the coffee house as the featured drummer for two bands!

Kaemon Ze, still decked out as a crocodile, chats up Alex, who is exactly 7 days younger.

The boys had a blast!

We moved the boys to the kids play area of the coffee shop.
(L-R: Finn, Kaemon Ze, and Alex)

Finn noticed Kaemon Ze's shoes on the window seal and sat down to take his off...

I knew he wanted to wear them. :) He got one shoe off and struggled with the second. (I helped him.)

Success at last! Wearing Kaemon Ze's shoes!

Kaemon Ze and Finn check to see if they may have a career as a traveling duo-piano act.

(Notice the crocodile above the keys...)

my little crocodile

Kaemon Ze woke Daddy up yesterday at 4am and told him he had to go potty!

(Wowow!)

For being such a BIG BOY, I gave his this crocodile toy that I had stashed away for such a momentous moment. He held on to the croc -- all day. Even when he really wanted to go in the kids play area at Ikea, (where kids had to be at least 37" tall and be fully potty trained -- he qualifies!) but had to surrender the croc for an hour...he chose to hold onto the crocodile and hang out with me (which worked our GREAT because we found the free airbrush/face painting event upstairs at Ikea). No surprise...he had his face painted like a crocodile.
He was AMAZING. After waiting (mostly patiently...it was lunch time and I did not bring snacks) nearly 20 minutes, he climbed up on the chair (with help) and closed his eyes and mouth...the gal didn't even have to tell him. Sitting there, he seemed so much older than his nearly two and a half years of age.

april fools...i love this day!

I got up at 3 A.M. to pull this year's prank on my in-laws.

Everybody's in the car...

There...that should just about do it.

When my father-in-law opens the door this morning to get his paper, this is what he's going to find on his doorstop.

Mission: Complete.
