sleeping with the fishes

Nearly a year ago (ahem), my boss and his wife gave Kaemon Ze a gift card to a local store that sells "educational" toys (and items). We finally got around to taking our JoyBoy to pick out his gift! He picked up a package of safari animals (we suspect, mostly, because it had an alligator in it), ignoring the package of dinosaurs (is it possible he thinks he has enough?).

Then later, he found a toy store set up (fruit stand, cash register, various foods, and two shopping baskets). What caught his eye was the fish! Oooooh so exciting for him! Heh. We spend some time "buying" the fish and assorted sundries. I suggested he could ask a clerk if they have more fish (to actually purchase). After a little while, all by himself, he asked the clerk for fish; his inquiry was clear enough that she didn't need me to interpret (heh). She responded that they did ("but it comes with other food, like meat") and did he want to see it? He replied "yes." She said, "Follow me, please." I was a total by-stander! So cool to watch my boy successfully navigate his way in his wee little world.
The basket contained a variety of foods...he's going to have so much fun! He particularly likes the fish, of course.

Napping with the fish. :)
